The Department of Psychiatry 15th Annual Psychiatry Research Day is proud to present the keynote speaker, Dr. Marco Leyton, Professor of Psychiatry, Neurology & Neurosurgery; Psychology at McGill University.
Dr. Leyton will be speaking on the "Vulnerability to addictions, a potential dopamine-related pathway in humans."
His research focuses on the neurobiology of addictions and addiction-related psychiatric disorders and identifying vulnerability traits that affect susceptibility to addictions. The studies are conducted in people using neuroimaging methods such as PET and MRI and drug challenges such as alcohol, tobacco, amphetamine and cocaine.
