Grand Rounds

​Psychiatry Grands Rounds are held during the academic year from September to June.  Faculty, national and international visiting speakers, residents and graduate students present on a wide variety of topics in and related to psychiatry. 

Adult Psychiatry Grand Rounds

The Adult Psychiatry Grand Rounds are part of the Continuing Professional Development program in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta and are accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. They are an integral function of the Department of Psychiatry, provided onsite at the University of Alberta and broadcast across Alberta and Canada including Northern Areas through Telehealth for physicians and other health care providers. They are held every Wednesday at 1200-1300 hrs from September to June excluding a short winter break for the holiday season in December and the summer break in July and August. Many of the Adult Psychiatry Grand Rounds presentations are also webcast on InView for the duration of the academic year.

Adult Psychiatry Grand Rounds are held every Wednesday (except during winter and summer breaks).

Time: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Grand Rounds

The Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Grand Rounds are part of the Continuing Professional Development program in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta and are accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. They are an integral function of the Department of Psychiatry, provided onsite at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital in the Bill Black Auditorium and broadcast across Alberta and Canada including Northern Areas through Telehealth for physicians and other health care providers. They are held every second Thursday at 0900-1000 hrs from September to June excluding a short winter break for the holiday season in December and the summer break in July and August. Many of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Grand Rounds presentations are also webcast on InView for the duration of the academic year.

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Grand Rounds are held on the first and third Thursdays of every month (except during winter and summer breaks).

Location: Glenrose Auditorium, Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital (GRH)
