Thesis Title: Decision-making in patients with multiple sclerosis
Research Interests: My research interests strongly revolve around the study of cognitive impairments in clinical populations. I am very interested in the executive dysfunctions and mood disorders commonly seen in traumatic brain injury and psychiatric populations. I commenced my M.Sc. in Psychiatry in 2010, and through neuropsychological tools, I am presently studying decision-making abilities in patients with Multiple Sclerosis. Future research questions include using neurobiological models of mood disorders, such as depression and alexithymia (a state/trait deficiency in understanding, processing, and describing emotions) to better understand the neurological and functional correlates of the affective and cognitive aspects of emotion processing. Personal interests include swimming, yoga, snowboarding and anything to do with the outdoors.
