  • Congratulations to faculty member, Dr. Kathryn Todd has been appointed as Director of the Centre for Neuroscience. The Centre for Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary initiative that fosters teaching, learning and research in the neurosciences across multiple faculties. Dr. Todd, a Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience who investigates how different brain cells interact, and affect, neurons, has been a longstanding member of the centre. She is currently acting as its Graduate Program Coordinator."It's an exciting time, and neuroscientists of Alberta are ready to work together to make our province a leader in neuroscience research and practice" said Todd. She plans to continue predecessor Dr. Keir Pearson's work to promote neuroscience, increase graduate and undergraduate student enrolment and enhance links with other centers in the province. "The University of Alberta and the province of Alberta as a whole are already on the map as leaders in neuroscience. But I think we could be even more of a force to be reckoned with if we enhance our partnerships."
